hisat2 software package provides graph-based alignment of short nucleotide reads to many genomes, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hisat2
hisat2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hisat2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hisat2 *
You will get with hisat2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
